mhhhh….manze whoz the president of kenya>??? dats wat am dreadin to know….hopefully its not the one who luks like winning…..but its weird coz other websites have different stuff…one already has announced the prezo…unbelievable

  • Ken

Interesting results from the Rift Valley and Western. Lots of big names seem to be falling by the wayside. This is surely proving to be an election of surprises. Gumo is finally being pushed out of Westlands? You got to give it to Tett for her tenaciousness and Biwott and Awori – what is going on?

  • Mtu

Ken…tell me about it…manze it lukd so obvious that kibaki was goinna win the rifties n raila the westies….but manze…this thing is full of suprises….cant wait to see wats up

  • Ken

Hi Ory, thanks for the updates.

Do you have any idea of when the ECK will give the final results?

    thanks

  • Hi, thanks a lot for the fantastic job. keep it up! I am wondering why they aren’t announcing the preliminaries from my district-Mandera- and North Eastern in general. We sure are fully behind Raila but I am wondering, with telephone, mobile phones, sms, emails and all that available and no result as of 5:00 A.M. Kenyan time? This is ridiculous. Hopefully the aren’t planning to rig. Can’t wait for Raila to be declared the next president officially.

  • Abdi

An update from North eastern. Mohd Elmi of ODM has a big lead of outgoing Regional affairs minister, Mohamed Mohamud Abdi, the PNU NEP co-ordinator.

The ODM candidate is also leading in Mandera East

  • yma

just wondering, who is leading in dagoretti, Bumula,
    starehe?

  • Mecky

Initial results portend tectonic change underway.

  • Wow. Looks like things might be chaning in Kenya. Biwott, Tuju, Kituyi and the rest. This is good. We really do need change…

And more info. Thanks for the updates.

  • Whats up with the black out on North Eastern? Nation is showing the provinces on the presidential race with an obvious blackout of North Eastern.

  • Abdi

    Joshua,

Thats ma major concern as well. Obviously, Celtel (and Safaricom to a lesser extent) cover even the most rural areas in NEP. I have talking to my folks over there by cell phone, but there is no update in nationmedia.com and elsewhere.

They have reported about a car accident in Mandera and also an elderly person dying on the line so the nation reporters are there as well.

However, I don’t understand why they cannot tell you what I am telling you. I am wondering whether there is a deliberate move to rig (counting process) should the presidential election be so close to call and should the hitherto inconsequential NEP vote become an issue. Yes, the less than half million registered voters there don’t only contribute the 25% in 5 provinces magic, but also a significant number in a close race.

Anyway, I hear ODM is struggling in Wajir west where the sitting MP, Ahmed Khalif is trying to defend his ticket on ODM and former MP Aden Keynan as well as Mzee Somo are giving him a run for his money. ODM is home and dry in Wajir East, where Mohamed Elmi has beaten former Regional affairs Minister. The ODM candidate in Mandera Central, former MP Billow Kerrow is also in a tight race with Safina’s Abdikadir Hajj Hussein (leading narrowly) and PNU’s Adan Mohamednur. ODM is also having a narrow lead in Mandera East over former MP Shabaan Issack.

No much news from Garrisa, but I expect Lagdera ODM candidate Farah Maalim to do well.

    Hey guys…
Any provisional results on presidential contenders? I cant wait to hear something…………………… so restless men..

  • Alani

Question- Why is the Nation result table not showing North Eastern Province? We have 8 provinces right??? Just wondering

  • fran

Hey,..Cud any other additional site i can view any update on election results? nationmedia.com just giving me problems to open…

    Thx

  • orwaking

nation is ever suspicious, where is north eastern province men!! cant they even offer a humble note of explanation to the diaspora impatiens like me and you!! but the political tectonic plates are moving in fundamental ways, God help Kenyawa

Of the elections reporting I have seen, the major newspapers have failed the Kenyan people. Thanx Ory for all the job well done to give all these information that the major news media have to provide our fellow Kenyan that have lined up all day vote. Unfortunately as they went back home and sat next to their TVs and radios – there is nothing about winners or losers. And god will bless our beloved Kenya!

    Wow,

This is icredible stuff. Methinks this is where the fight is: electing wabunge. The press can say all they wantabout the titanic battle that is the presidency, but without a hardworking parliament, nothing matters. The real power after constitutional reforms will rest with the legislature. I am encouraged by the sheer force of will with which the kenyan voter has finally come out to vote. This portends an active and well attende sessions in bunge with accountable employees (mp’s)

Ory, shukran! Great updates and please keep it up.

I think it will take a while for results from NEP to trickle in – reason being is that guys in those areas take a while to get to the polling station (i could be wrong?) and thus chances are that voting time was added. Also maybe security concerns.
Things look interesting though otherwise :)

  • Mecky

    I have a hinch.

The 2007 election results will kill off tribalism, regionalism and come up with a united Kenya. Tribe and ethnic backround should never be allowed to determine the destiny of Kenya. God Bless Kenya.

  • walter

waw! Biwott is out…cheers!!!…he ceases being the total man>>total waste i guesss.

    Longing for the presidential results.

    God bless Kenya.

  • kissoly luitfred

Yes Keyans, i must acknowledge the ‘wonderful show’ of democracy you are givin us, i am basically Tanzanian but very happy with the suprises you are giving the kibaki group. this is the change we east africans want. Keep it on!!!

  • Hi,

Am reading and following the results from The Hague and am happy for the turn of event so far. Kenyans are really maturing in politics and hope that mzee give space for young people to show what they’ve got. With all due respect, he is my tribe man but abit too old for the job. His last ministers selection was very interesting( old janks in cabinet) no wonder they did very little. It beats logic for me to solite knowledge abroad with the expenses that goes with that if I will only be employed when all Kibakis folfs cannot walk by themselves to the work place for being too old!!!! its annoying and a pity to see his enormous appetite for old non-productive guys.

Can someone the other side ask the next President(Raila) to follow up the Pyramid people and make sure they have returned the money they rob from Kenyan. !!!

    Proudly Kenyan.

    Gerald
    The Hague

I am kind of dissapointed with the Nation Media group, I am over here in the U.S and once agwambo began to win, the website has collapsed. Shame………

  • Anne

Thanks good results, i hope those elected will do something for their people.

  • kipngetich kipsang

My Kenyans its gwan, love u for leeting old guards go home, like nyachae, saitoti, biwott,vp, and others.

    one LOVE

  • Njeru Njiru

Just wondering who wins in , South Iment ,Tharaka, Meru central, Nthi, Gatundu south, West lands, kamukuji?

  • moderate Kenyan

Only those who are outside Kenya are surprised with the Rift Valley vote. The message was clear…change. As for those blaming Nation website…it has everything to do with TRAFFIC. People are overwhelming the site. Period. If you are patient enough, it uploads, slowly though. Chech out other websites e.g. http://www.kbc.co.ke where the radio is annoucing results as they are read, live. Check out also http://www.raila07.com. PNU and ODMK websites are not showing anything much. Standard updates slowly too. But Raila’s lead is unassailable although the margin is about 6.something percent. Still good enough. Kenyans have matured politically and they have shown that what they have been doing at the parliamentary level, they will do at the presidential one. No more arrogance. If the next president doesnt please, he/she has only 5yrs and its out of the door. Other big names out are Mwiraria, Njenga Karume etc etc read for yourself.

  • june

Thanks for gud job of updating us. is there any other site we can get clear results apart from the nation ,kbc and ktn . Guys am desperate to hear the results.

  • siji

as they say its where river is still that is deepest and dangerous. Kibaki is aways calm and looks still but he could prove lethal medicine for Raila who is all about noise and being notice.
I love kenya peace be with us after the noise.

  • Professional and singer Patrick Bruel has been considered one of France’s biggest stars in the ’90s, first
making their name as a teen idol and leading a positive return to
traditional French chanson within the new millennium.
Bruel came into this world Patrick Benguigui in Tlemcen, Algeria, on May
14, 1959. His or her father abandoned a family when Patrick was simply a year old, because 1962, after Algeria earned
its independence, his mommy moved to France, negotiating inside Paris suburb of Argenteuil.

An excellent soccer player within the youth, Patrick
first chosen the idea of like a artist having seen Michel Sardou perform in 1975.

As good luck might have it, acting would take him his first accomplishment; first-time movie director Alexandre Arcady ran an advertisement seeking a
man with a French-Algerian (or “pied-noir” in French slang) accent for his film
Le Coup fuente Sirocco. Benguigui (as he was
still called) responded and won the business. These year, he spent time in New
York City, where he achieved Gérard Presgurvic, later to get his
    primary composer.
