The Financial Times has just put together a special feature report on Kenya.  The FT has done a number of great articles on Kenya this year so I’m looking forward to reading the report – includes articles on the wave of kidnappings to hit Nairobi (just heard from a person in the know that the incidents are actually seriously under-reported); the Mau Forest; and the dithering stock exchange.
Nairobi has become so boring every shop, a mobile phone outlet. Every Kiosk sells mobile phone Topup! Everyone you talk to rudely interupts the conversation to answer his mobile phone! Everyone walks or even worse drives whilst talking on their mobiles! Every old cinema is now a church Even the Kisii stadium home of the great Shabana football team sponsored by Dogo Kahn………..A Church? You cannot get tap washers in Nakumatt they know what they are but you are offered a new tap instead! However Kenyans are just great so it all becomes insignificant after a few Tuskers, Did I mention the price of Tuskers…………………………………………………………………………………what happened to the beer Senator apparently it changed its name so only a old friend sold me one…………Frustrating where are the high blood pressure tablets?
I read the report but i felt that it over reported on the negative i.e. kidnappings , political deadlock and Somali’s taking over Nairobi.
The interviews with some prominent Kenyans insinuated that we could end up in a military sponsored democracy-Asian style.
The report merely rehashed what informed analysts on Kenya know plus a sprinkling of the usual Nai-rumors

Wow! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Excellent choice of colors!
I’ve loaded your site in Three completely different web browsers and I must say this website loads a lot faster then most. Would you mind e-mailing me the name of your web hosting company? My personal email is: my mail. I’ll even sign up through your own affiliate link if you’d like. Cheers
Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
